For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Aicend FZ-LLC is the data controller for most personal data described in this Privacy Policy, except where another party is clearly identified.
1. Scope and Eligibility
MySheTribe is intended exclusively for adult women aged 18 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. The platform is not intended for, and does not knowingly collect personal data from, anyone under the age of 18.
If we learn that personal data has been submitted by someone under the age of 18, or in violation of our platform eligibility rules, we may suspend the relevant account and delete or restrict associated data without notice.
We may collect and process personal data to operate eligibility controls, enforce community rules, maintain safety, review access requests, verify users, and protect the integrity of the platform.
2. Categories of Personal Data We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
Full name or display name; email address; phone number where provided; password or authentication credentials; profile information such as age range, nationality, languages, interests, city, profession, and lifestyle preferences; biography, photos, selfies, and profile media; preferences set in the app; community participation details; event booking information; support requests, survey responses, and feedback; user-generated content, messages, comments, posts, uploads, chat content, and community interactions; and information you provide when joining premium services, events, relocation programs, or paid offerings.
2.2 Verification and safety information
To protect the women-only nature of the platform and support community safety, we may collect selfie images submitted for identity verification, identity-related confirmation details where requested, moderation reports, safety incident information, records of warnings, restrictions, or account actions, and communications relating to complaints or investigations.
We may use this information to review accounts, investigate misuse, and maintain platform integrity.
2.3 Relocation and lifestyle information
If you use MyRelocation or related services, we may collect relocation stage and destination plans, budget preferences, housing interests, work or business interests, preferred neighbourhoods, family or lifestyle preferences you choose to disclose, checklists, saved resources, and planning activity.
2.4 Transaction and subscription information
If you purchase subscriptions, event tickets, premium services, or other paid products, we may collect subscription tier, purchase records, billing status, limited payment metadata, and invoice or transaction references. We do not store full card numbers; payment processing is handled by authorised third-party payment providers.
2.5 Technical and device information
We may automatically collect IP address, device type and model, operating system and version, app version, browser type, log records, language settings, time zone, crash reports, usage analytics, device identifiers, or similar identifiers where permitted.
2.6 Location data
We may collect approximate location data inferred from IP address, and more precise location data only where you choose to enable it and where relevant to app functionality. You can withdraw location permission at any time through your device settings.
2.7 Contacts and social graph information
We may collect information about your connections, matches, circles, event participation, and messaging relationships within the app.
2.8 Partner, vendor, and event data
If you interact with offers, services, or events, we may collect records of registrations, attendance, preferences, waitlist status, host or vendor interactions, and support and refund records.
3. Sensitive and Higher-Risk Data
Some data processed by MySheTribe may be sensitive or higher risk, depending on context, including:
-
Selfie images submitted for identity verification. Where such images are processed to confirm identity or community eligibility, we treat this as biometric-adjacent data and obtain your explicit consent before collection.
-
Personal profile information that may reveal ethnicity, religion, language, or similar details if voluntarily provided.
-
Chat content and private community interactions.
-
Relocation planning information.
-
Safety reports or incident details.
Where selfie verification is used to confirm identity for platform access, we process this data on the basis of your explicit consent, obtained at the point of collection. You may withdraw consent by contacting privacy@aicend.com, although this may affect your ability to access the platform.
We only seek sensitive information where reasonably necessary for platform functionality, safety, community experience, personalisation, or legal compliance, and we aim to provide user controls where appropriate.
4. How We Collect Personal Data
We collect personal data directly from you during signup, onboarding, profile completion, verification, messaging, event registration, purchases, or support interactions; automatically through your use of the app or website; from service providers supporting payments, analytics, communications, hosting, moderation, identity checks, customer support, and security; from other users when they report content, mention you in a complaint, invite you to an event, or interact with you; and from partners or public sources where relevant to event or service administration and where lawful.
5. Purposes of Processing
5.1 To provide and operate MySheTribe
We process personal data to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, display profiles, support matching, chats, groups, events, relocation features, and offers, and personalise content and community recommendations.
5.2 To maintain platform safety and integrity
We process personal data to verify eligibility and community access, review selfies and verification submissions, detect fraud, abuse, impersonation, harassment, policy violations, or suspicious activity, investigate reports, and enforce community guidelines.
5.3 To provide AI Tribe Matching and personalisation
We process personal data to recommend compatible members, circles, or content, improve match quality, rank or organise recommendations, and tailor experiences based on declared interests, preferences, community activity, and in-app behaviour.
5.4 To process purchases and subscriptions
We process personal data to administer premium memberships, manage payments and billing support, provide receipts and transaction records, and detect payment abuse or misuse.
5.5 To deliver events and relocation support
We process personal data to manage bookings, attendance, reminders, and waitlists, organise workshops, support sessions, or hosted community experiences, provide relocation resources and planning tools, and recommend trusted service providers or resources.
5.6 To communicate with you
We process personal data to send essential service messages, security alerts and account notices, respond to support requests, and send newsletters, offers, or promotional communications where permitted.
5.7 To improve our services
We process personal data to analyse app usage and trends, troubleshoot bugs and crashes, conduct audits, reporting, and quality assurance, and evaluate new features, flows, or product changes.
5.8 To comply with law and protect rights
We process personal data to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, and protect the rights, safety, and property of users, staff, partners, and Aicend FZ-LLC.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on the context and applicable law, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
-
Your consent — including explicit consent where required for sensitive data such as selfie verification images.
-
Performance of a contract with you — to provide the services you have signed up for.
-
Compliance with legal obligations — where we are required to process data by law.
-
Our legitimate interests — where permitted and balanced against your rights, for example to operate and improve the platform, detect abuse, or ensure safety.
-
Protection of vital interests.
-
Other lawful bases available under applicable data protection law.
Where consent is required, we will seek it through appropriate mechanisms before processing begins. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@aicend.com, though this may affect your ability to use certain features.
7. AI Tribe Matching and Automated Processing
MySheTribe may use rules-based systems, scoring models, recommendation engines, and AI-assisted tools to support member matching, event recommendations, circle recommendations, moderation triage, support prioritisation, and content or feature personalisation.
These systems may consider information such as interests, profile selections, location or city preferences, relocation stage, engagement patterns, community participation, and declared lifestyle or networking preferences.
We do not promise perfect results, compatibility, or outcomes. AI-supported outputs are probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or unsuitable recommendations. Human review may be used for moderation, support, safety, access control, and other operational decisions.
Where legally required, you may request more information or object to certain automated processing, subject to technical feasibility, safety concerns, legal obligations, and overriding legitimate grounds.
8. Verification, Community Safety, and Moderation
To support the women-only character of the platform and foster a safe environment, MySheTribe may use identity review, selfie verification, fraud detection, moderation tools, complaint handling, and account enforcement processes.
We may request a selfie or similar verification input, compare submitted information for consistency, review user reports, use manual or automated tools to identify suspected violations, and restrict, suspend, or remove accounts where appropriate.
Verification data is used for access control, safety, fraud prevention, platform integrity, and dispute resolution.
9. Messages, Chats, Posts, and User Content
When you use messaging, chat rooms, circles, or community posting features, we may process message content, attachments, timestamps, recipient data, moderation metadata, abuse reports, and block and mute actions.
Private or semi-private communications may still be accessed by authorised personnel or service providers where reasonably necessary for security, abuse investigations, legal compliance, content moderation, service support, backup and recovery, and enforcement of terms and community standards.
You should avoid sharing sensitive information through chat unless necessary.
10. Cookies, SDKs, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
The MySheTribe website and app may use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits (SDKs), analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, understand usage patterns, detect fraud and abuse, improve app reliability, and support marketing attribution where permitted.
Third-party SDKs and services we use may include analytics providers (such as Firebase or equivalent), crash reporting tools, payment processors (such as Stripe or equivalent), push notification services, and customer support tools. Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We will list confirmed third-party SDKs in the App Store privacy declarations submitted alongside this policy.
You may be able to manage some of these technologies through device or browser settings, app permission controls, consent banners, or in-app settings.
11. Sharing of Personal Data
We may share personal data with:
-
Service providers and processors who support platform operations, payments, analytics, communications, hosting, moderation, identity checks, and security.
-
Other users as part of service functionality — for example, your profile information visible to matches or circle members.
-
Event hosts, partners, and vendors where you have registered for an event or offer.
-
Legal, regulatory, and law enforcement bodies where required by law.
-
Successor entities in connection with corporate transactions such as mergers, investment, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your personal data with third-party advertisers for the purpose of targeting you with advertising on other platforms. If this changes, we will update this policy and seek any required consents.
12. International Transfers
Your personal data may be stored or processed in the UAE and in other countries where our service providers, infrastructure providers, partners, or support teams operate.
Where personal data is transferred internationally, we aim to use appropriate safeguards suitable for the transfer and the nature of the data, consistent with applicable law. These safeguards may include contractual protections, internal policies, security measures, transfer risk assessments, or other lawful mechanisms.
13. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The following indicative retention periods apply:
-
Account and profile data: retained while your account is active and for up to 2 years after closure, unless longer retention is required by law.
-
Verification and safety records (including selfie images): retained for up to 2 years after the verification event, or longer where needed for fraud prevention, enforcement history, or legal claims.
-
Transaction and subscription records: retained for up to 7 years for finance, tax, accounting, and audit purposes.
-
Support records: retained for up to 3 years for service quality, dispute management, and legal defence.
-
Usage logs and crash analytics: retained for up to 12 months for operational and security purposes.
-
Chat and user content: retained while needed for service operation, moderation, safety, and disputes, typically for the duration of the account plus up to 12 months.
We may anonymise or aggregate data so that it no longer identifies you, in which case we may keep it for analytics, statistics, product improvement, or business planning without a fixed retention limit.
Final retention periods are subject to confirmation by legal counsel and may vary by jurisdiction.
14. Account Closure and Deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@aicend.com or privacy@aicend.com, or through any in-app deletion feature if available.
When you request deletion, your account may be deactivated first. Certain data may be deleted promptly. Certain data may remain for backup cycles, safety reviews, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, accounting, audit, and security purposes within the retention periods set out in Section 15. Content previously shared with others may remain visible in some contexts where technically or legally necessary, or where retained by other users independently.
We may retain minimal suppression records to prevent repeated abuse, enforce restrictions, or document legal compliance.
15. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights including:
-
Access to personal data we hold about you.
-
Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
-
Deletion of your data in certain circumstances.
-
Restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
-
Objection to certain processing, including automated decision-making.
-
Withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.
-
Data portability where applicable.
-
Complaint to a competent supervisory authority where available
California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not sell your personal information. You may submit a request by contacting privacy@aicend.com.
To exercise any privacy rights, contact privacy@aicend.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may decline or limit requests where permitted by law, including where requests are unfounded, excessive, technically infeasible, or would adversely affect the rights and safety of others.
16. Marketing Communications
We may send service-related communications necessary to operate your account and the service.
Where permitted, we may also send promotional messages about memberships, events, workshops, offers, relocation resources, community news, and partner opportunities.
You may opt out of marketing communications through unsubscribe links in our emails, account settings where available, or by contacting us. Service and transactional messages may still be sent where necessary.
17. Third-Party Services and Links
The platform may contain links to third-party websites, payment services, partner pages, ticketing tools, maps, communications tools, or external service providers. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of independent third parties, except to the extent required by applicable law.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services before interacting with them.
18. Security Measures
We use administrative, technical, organisational, and contractual measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, and destruction.
These measures may include access controls, role-based permissions, authentication controls, encryption in transit and, where appropriate, at rest, monitoring and logging, vendor controls, backup procedures, moderation and safety workflows, and incident response measures.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
19. Data Breach and Incident Response
If we become aware of a personal data breach, security incident, or unauthorised disclosure affecting personal data, we may investigate the incident, contain and remediate the issue, assess risks to affected individuals, document findings, notify affected parties or authorities where required by law, and implement corrective actions.
20. App Permissions
Depending on your device, app version, and settings, MySheTribe may request the following permissions:
-
Camera — for profile photos, verification selfies, or uploads.
-
Photo library — for profile and content uploads.
-
Microphone — where audio features are available.
-
Notifications — to send alerts, messages, and updates.
-
Location — for local experience recommendations or personalisation, only where you enable it.
-
Contacts — only if a specific feature requests it and you explicitly approve it.
You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking certain permissions may limit the functionality of the app. For Apple App Store users, our full App Privacy nutrition label is available on the MySheTribe App Store listing.
21. Platform Visibility and User Controls
Some profile details and participation data may be visible to your matches, circle members, event attendees, community members, moderators, or administrators.
We may provide controls allowing you to manage certain visibility, messaging, notification, and profile settings. Availability of controls may vary by app version and service design.
22. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, product changes, platform features, security practices, vendor arrangements, or operational needs.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, website, email, or other reasonable means. The updated version will be posted at www.aicend.com/privacy with a revised effective date.
